Al Simmons, aka Spawn is dead, his normal body can appear in one of two ways:
Burnt, rotting, and disfigured normally OR As he did when alive if he chooses to use his magic to alter it so.

Spawn wears a symbiotic suit from hell that all hellspawn are adorned with. His is known as the K-7 Leetha, a powerful breed that protects him and evolves the longer a hell spawn stays alive (if you could call him alive that is).
